MR & MRS

Today I've got a wedding card to share.
This was inspired by an ampersand card I saw a few years ago created by Tracy  (A very talented lady who makes wonderful cards I recommend a look at her blog Scrap Happens)
Up until now I didnt have a way of welding letters etc from my carts as I didnt have design studio but now that provocraft have introduced the cricut craft room its really opened up my use of my cartridges
I used the craft room to create a card base using 2 ampersands back to back and welded together and added a contrasting ampersand in white.
Welded the MR and MRS along with a shadow to mat them onto
I then cut the Memory box heart flourish die and cut it away so I just had the very fine filgree heart strip I cut this into 3 smaller pieces. Glittered the tiny hearts and flowers and also used a quickie glue pen to make tiny dots which I glittered with diamond dust at various points round the ampersand. The dangling heart was secured with kaisercraft sparklet in black
the glitter and sparlet dont really show up in the picture but they are glittery in real life, honest!. All in all pretty pleased with the result  Thanks for the inspiration Tracy : )

Birthday Butterflies

Another birthday card made using glitter sparkle paste from Imagination crafts

This time the mask used is full of butterflies and I used diamond sparkle paste onto acetate. The card was cut using spellbinders large label dies to make a shaped aperture card On the inside of the card I used ink dusters to layer various shades of ink the get a graduated effect Not much in the way of embellishments as I didnt think it needed it just a sentiment and some pale pink organza ribbon Hope you like it

and now for something completely different

This is definately me venturing out of my comfort zone but when at the recent craft fair at Glasgow SECC I was facinated by the sparkle paste demos at the Imagination Crafts stand and of course just had to buy some. So decided to make a card with my goodies for a birthday swap card

This one uses gold sparkle paste on black gloss card and I used an imagination crafts summer blossom mask on the outside and the summer blossom border mask inside The sentiment is a lotv one. The ribbon is from my stash
Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think as each comment is really appreciated
Happy Easter

anybody miss me?

Can't quite believe that it's almost a year since I last posted
In fact that is the length of time since I last made any card. Not going to bore you with the details, suffice to say that I am finally emerging from a very dark fog and my well battered confidence is willing to dip a toe in the water again.
I was actually a bit scared that I just wouldnt be able to make anything but I've  managed 2 cards this week One is a birthday card so will post a picture after the event and this one made with one of the many wonderful images available at Saturated Canary.

It will finding these that got the creative juices flowing again
Isnt she lovely I so enjoyed colouring her with copics. Also took the chance to use one of  my recently purchased Memory box dies A truly beautiful delicated filgree heart. Hopefully this is the start of me getting back into card making again as I was so miserable when I couldnt If you do stop by my blog please leave me a comment as I dont know if anyone is still around and Iwould love to know if you are
thanks
